South Highland offers special worship services throughout the year. In addition to the services listed below, the Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.

Weekly Service for Wholeness and Healing – Wednesdays at 5:00 in the Chapel, this service of intercessory prayer includes the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

Genesis Sunday – early September. We kick off of the new year in South Highland’s Sunday school program with a celebration of teachers and our young people during worship.

Thanksgiving Wednesday – a service the day before Thanksgiving.

Advent – Wednesday evening services throughout the Advent season, with carols and other special music.

Christmas Eve – join us for the family service at 5:30 or candlelight service at 11:00, with glorious music and meaningful worship.

Ash Wednesday – evening service includes the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

Lenten Wednesdays – following Wednesday evening supper, join us for thoughtful and meditative worship throughout Lent.

Palm Sunday – includes procession of the children with palm branches.

Holy Week Noon Services – brief service followed by a light lunch, each day of Holy Week.

Maundy Thursday – remembering the night of the Last Supper and of Christ’s betrayal, this Tennebrae service includes the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

Easter Sunday – Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Sunrise service in the columbarium courtyard, led by our F2:19 worship team. Magnificent sanctuary service at 8:30 and 11:00 with special music and the congregation singing Handel’s “Hallelujah” chorus.

Inspirational Series - Held over a weekend each spring, this program series features a leading theologian/speaker in both lecture format and informal gatherings with members and friends.
